Here's a few fun tips to inspire your wedding details:
- When talking to your florists, don’t forget about your rehearsal dinner. Flowers will definitely last the weekend – get maximum use out of them – use rehearsal dinner or reception flowers as your centerpieces for a day-after brunch. Or, say thank you to friends and relatives that traveled a long way – let them take the flowers back to their hotel room to enjoy during their stay.
- Have fun with your Save the Dates, use postcards!
- To save on your budget, get creative with your vendors and do something that ties in to your centerpieces. Personalize votive candles are easy to make, add romantic lighting and make a nice favor. Small potted plants work nicely too. Or, use little frames as double duty – they work as seating cards and favors!
- If you're having an outdoor summer wedding, include insect repellent and sunscreen in your amenity baskets. Citronella torches are a great way to add lighting and keep the bugs away!
- Have a favorite family recipe? See if the caterer will add it to the menu!
- Work with your florist to reuse ceremony flowers. Pew flowers can be used on the back of the bridal party chairs or on service tables.
- Flipflops will save your feet - get some for you and your bridesmaids to dance away the evening.
- Instead of having a full open bar, offer beer, wine and a few specialty drinks.
